Because the girl was crippled,
the way she walked was slow and awkward.
If the girl was born ugly. No one would care.
But Heaven played a game with her,
it made her especially beautiful.
She cursed her legs.
She cursed Heaven for making her this way.
Because she was crippled,
she was afraid to go out.
She stayed at home day and night.
Unwilling to go out at all.
She hid at home everyday.
She was scared to face people.
She did not want the sympathetic glances
from others. Or the 'pity-smiles'.
